The Marketing Manager should ensure that there is a clear purpose behind the company’s use of the Internet and list it at the top of the Internet Planning Worksheet Template. Organizations mainly use the Internet to:
- Promote awareness of the organization, its mission, cause, or product;
- Sell the company’s products/services
- Recruit members; and/or
- Gather and work leads.
The Marketing Manager should identify and list Internet sales goals and estimate how many impressions, etc., are needed to satisfy those goals in MT1010-1 INTERNET PLANNING WORKSHEET, section A. After determining Internet objectives, the Marketing Manager should identify how they are going to be accomplished – strategies the company will implement – and list these in section B. Section C covers contribution margin and section D covers schedule and budget.
