The Strategy Team should list each goal and objective in column one of the Marketing Strategy Matrix Template. The Strategy Team should then develop a strategy (or set of strategies) for each goal/objective – determine how goals and objectives are going to be reached – and list these strategies in column two of MP1060-1 MARKETING STRATEGY MATRIX.
For each strategy identified in column two of MP1060-1, the Strategy Team should indicate (by a check mark in column three, four, or five) whether the strategy is a Cost, Differentiation, or Focus strategy. The idea is to determine which generic strategy – Cost, Differentiation, or Focus – best suits the company’s overall goals, objectives, and capabilities, then implement the specific strategies in that generic category.
