The Strategy Team should meet at least once (and possibly more often) with various Department Managers (Sales, Production, Customer Service, etc.) to review strategies and gain further insights, ensure understanding of an agreement on priorities and capabilities, confirm strategy timelines and milestones, and include departments/personnel in the “ownership” of strategies. After gaining agreement from department managers and assuring understanding, the Strategy Team should prepare the formal Strategy Report in accordance with MP1060-3 MARKETING STRATEGY.
The Marketing Strategy Worksheet Template covers an executive summary, the body of the report, and conclusions/recommendations. The Strategy Team should submit the Marketing Strategy Worksheet Template to the company CEO for approval. Upon its approval, the Marketing Strategy Report should serve as input to the Marketing Plan. As strategies are implemented, the Strategy Team should ensure that implementation-related activities are monitored to determine the progress and effect of each strategy.
