Public Relations Plan Template

The Marketing Manager should formalize the PR Plan in accordance with MT1020-3 PUBLIC RELATIONS PLAN and submit the Plan to the CEO for approval. The Public Relations Plan Template covers an executive summary, goals/objectives, tools/methods, measuring effectiveness, and more. Upon approval of the Public Relations Plan, the Marketing Manager should direct the Plan’s implementation. The Marketing Manager should execute PR activities and events according to the schedule included with the PR Plan.

The Marketing Manager should ensure that audience attendance, response, etc., is recorded and logged, to compare with event goals set forth in the MT1020-3 PUBLIC RELATIONS PLAN. The Marketing Manager should periodically (e.g., quarterly) conduct a review of the Plan, comparing objectives in the Plan with information contained in various logs in order to determine where/if the Plan requires updating. The Marketing Manager should submit a progress report on the Plan to the President, noting objectives, achievements, and items needing improvement.

Where performance according to various logs does not meet the objectives set forth in the Public Relations Plan, the Marketing Manager should adjust it as needed. The Marketing Manager should meet semiannually, at a minimum, with the company CEO/President to review the Plan.
