The Marketing Manager should prepare a “to do” checklist/activity log for each PR event, using the Public Relations Event Checklist Template as a guide. The Marketing Manager should ensure that activities for each PR event are listed in the MT1020-2 PR EVENT CHECKLIST and that deadlines for each activity are specified prior to the first activity taking place. As each activity is completed, the Marketing Manager should enter the date of completion and check off the activity.
The Marketing Manager should periodically (e.g., weekly) review the PR Event Checklist to ensure that activities are being completed in a timely manner. At the end of each PR event, the Marketing Manager should review forms MT1020-2 PR EVENT CHECKLIST and logs kept and compare results with the event objectives and the overall objectives stated in the Public Relations Plan.
