Product Safety Hazard Label Guide Template
The Product Safety Hazard Label Guide Template assures that all products are labeled with adequate information to properly identify products and give warning statements to satisfy requirements by regulatory agencies, customers, and internal departments such as shipping and customer service.
The following guidelines and formats should be used for ENG109-2 PRODUCT SAFETY HAZARD LABEL GUIDELINES:
- CAUTION labels are used to indicate a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury (Black letters on Yellow background).
- WARNING labels indicate a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury. This signal word (“WARNING”) should not be used for property damage hazards unless personal injury risk appropriate to this level is also involved (Black letters on Orange background).
- DANGER labels indicate an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury. This signal word is to be limited to the most extreme situations. This signal word should not be used for property damage hazards unless personal injury risk appropriate to this level is also involved (White letters on Red background).
