The CFO should regularly (i.e. weekly, monthly) review inventory performance (from regular inventory reports) and record inventory performance information on the Inventory Management Report Template.
The CFO should meet with related Department Managers regularly to review inventory performance relative to established goals and objectives. The appropriate portion of Section II of the TM1020-2 INVENTORY MANAGEMENT RESULTS should be completed during each meeting. Inventory information can be collected and reviewed according to appropriate categories, for example:
Individual part numbers;
Product lines or types;
Business segments or divisions; and
Product value streams.
During the regular weekly/monthly meetings, the CFO should review inventory’s performance against stated inventory objectives in the most recent period (TM1020-2 INVENTORY MANAGEMENT RESULTS) with involved Department Managers.
