Internal Investigations Procedure
The Internal Investigations Procedure describes the prompt investigation of all reports of suspicious activity. The Internal Investigations Procedure establish guidelines for performing internal investigations concerning alleged theft, fraud, threats, or physical abuse.
The Security Director is authorized to initiate investigations of employees and non-employee associates and contractors if suspicion arises or if an allegation is made concerning the following issues:
- Theft of material property
- Theft of intellectual property
- Fraud
- Drug and/or alcohol abuse
- Making threats against another employee
- Physical abuse of a fellow employee
- Any criminal act
- Sexual harassment
- Conflict of interest
