Product Design Release ISO Template

As part of the Quality program for new or modified products, final prototypes or pilot-production models must be evaluated by the Product Development team to determine that the prototype conforms to specifications. Any discrepancy between the finished product and specifications and other elements of design and development must be resolved before the product is released to full-scale production.
If pilot products are to be commercially distributed, they must meet master record requirements and be approved for release. Pilot products may only be used internally without release approval (e.g., for technical writers, in training programs for production /service personnel, in marketing materials). Once the product design has been formally released and all discrepancies have been resolved, the company should begin production of the product.
