Product Design Release AS Template
The Product Development Team should complete a Product Design Release AS Template when pilot production models consistently conform to specifications and/or requirements. All evaluation data and associated pilot production records should be attached and the Aerospace Design Release Template should be submitted to Top Management for review and approval. If validation cannot be completed before providing the product to the customer due to the nature of the product, at least maximize partial validation before providing product to the customer. In the event that the customer validates the product, the company should obtain validation information (data or records) from the customer. Upon Top Management’s approval, the AS1100-1 form and attachments may be submitted to the customer for review and approval, depending on the product and the customer’s requirements. The Engineering Manager should keep the Product Design Release and any attachments in the Product file.
