In my junior year I’ll try to start implementing the ISO 9001:2008 in a really small company (~10 people) that carries out lightning protection projects. The correct approach for quality is the ISO 9001:2008 standard (Quality Management Systems Requirements). It is a very well done system. In my opinion, there is no sharp demarcation between ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 9001:2008, so upgrading to ISO 9001:2008 following a recertification or surveillance audit should not be a problem. We live in the era of quality, quality control, and quality assurance. The correct approach for quality is the ISO 9001:2008 standard (Quality Management Systems Requirements).
