Finding customer specific requirements has long been a challenge. In fact, a survey of current automotive suppliers found that a significant number did not know where to go for the latest applicable customer specific requirements. For registrars and end users, this represents a serious problem. How can rules be followed and enforced if they are not readily available?

It is with these challenges in mind customerspecifics.com was created. Here you will find a community to access, share, and discuss customer specific requirements.

Please understand that the content of this site will take some time to develop as we work hand in hand with each of you to build a comprehensive database of the thousands of available customer specific requirements. We ask that you join us in our cause as we attempt to build something great for the common benefit of the quality community.

Gulten, you should always have QMS documents reviewed and approved by someone other than yourself. Since ISO 9001 (clause 5.1) states that management is responsible for "establishing the quality policy" and "ensuring that quality objectives are established", it only makes sense that top management should indicate its approval on the documents designed to ensure an effective quality management system. Do you agree?

Top management could delegate the authority to sign quality documents but they still owe it to themselves and other stakeholders to be aware of what's going on.

Very useful website. I started to work as the Quality Manager of a small company. My assignment is to create a documented Quality Management System based on ISO 9001. I want to keep it as simple as possible. Wish me luck.

Can you tell me who should sign their approval for those procedures? The Quality Manager, or a member of Top Management? How about the Quality Manual -- who should sign it?

Thanks,
Gulten
