ISO for the New Year

Developing, implementing and maintaining your ISO 9001 program can be crucial to the core issues of your business. And the focus of this process is designed to help you take the steps toward improving your quality management system.

So this month, we try to paint you the picture of the who, what, how and why. And within that landscape, we brush in my new review of the Internal Auditor Skills Class (with a blurb on Aunt Sally’s holiday Jell-O mold). We hope to walk together through the steps of the process.

After all, this newsletter is about you and for you. As we progress, I’d like to pick your brain for topics, stories and also what you like and don’t like. Your business success will be the finished portrait. So please let me know how we should paint it at sean@bizmanualz.com. Thanks!

Focus On

So far we’ve talked about some good things in December. Here’s what you will find...

Reader Feedback

Discussion: We’re always asked how long the certification process takes for a company. Depending on the size and scope, it might vary. But here’s what a couple companies have found.

"The [Bizmanualz] Manual was so well-written and organized that it has saved me so much time in setting up our Quality Management System – in less than 3 months. The pre-written policies, procedures, forms, checklist and job descriptions for all functions within a company are extremely useful; it helps us to integrate all the business functions into one management system."

- John Lim, Quality Assurance Manager at
Thales GeoSolutions Singapore

"I used your system and was able to get my facility ISO 9000:2000 certified in less than 90 days."

- Kevin Thorne

Question for next month’s discussion: If you could generate $1 million in cash flow savings from a $100,000 investment, should you take it? Or maybe instead pick door #2? In January, you'll learn the answer and just how to do it with your cash to cash cycle.

Share stories about your companies in this ongoing discussion and pursuit for knowledge!

On That Note

If your business has experienced cash flows that shift up and down more often than a rollercoaster, then be sure to check out January and learn how to identify and then actually solve this problem when we review the "cash to cash" cycle.

Don’t forget to redeem your $100 credit toward a manual purchase of $395 or more. Just like your 2004 budget, this offer ends Dec. 31. Don’t miss out!

And, remember, I want to know what you think. So please email me at sean@bizmanualz.com with any comments, questions, stories, or just to say hello.

Happy holidays!
