Accounting for Winter

It’s not the sexiest subject, but compliance remains one of the most important AND one of the most overlooked issues in the workplace: for your company, for your control and for your peace of mind. Naturally, you’d like to think that your business is up-to-date, everything is flowing smoothly, and there is nothing to worry about. But can you prove it? Is your documentation current? And how do you know if you really are compliant?

In this month’s issue, we will show you how to confront these questions and many more...But, first, on a personal note, I’d like to introduce myself. As a new marketing manager at Bizmanualz, I am very excited and pleased to be aboard. Before my first day on the job, I was interested just how a company decreases its development time? So I took Bizmanualz training course. If you’re naturally curious like me, you can read my review here of the How to Create Well-Defined Processes class.

I also have many other important topics on my plate to discuss, but really I’d like to make this a forum for you – the business owners and executives who everyday follow their passion, and work relentlessly to see that desire grow stronger. So I encourage you to let me know which topics you’d like to see discussed, questions you’d like answered and success stories you’d like to share. Don’t be afraid to gloat! Shoot me an email at sean@bizmanualz.com, and if you give me the thumbs up, I will try to include your comment or story in December’s newsletter. Your feedback is very important to me!

Focus On

  • Interested in learning how to reduce development time, save money and stay in control? I learned the easy-to-manage Process Approach at the How to Create Well Defined Processes training course, and you can too. Find out what I thought about it.
  • $7.6 billion in tax credits are now available. So wouldn’t it be nice to get some of your money back that you’ve invested in developing policies, procedures and processes for your organization? Learn more to see how Bizmanualz can help you.
  • November 15 was the deadline to confirm the effectiveness of your IT and financial controls -- were you ready? Click here for fast, effective relief for your Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance.
  • Each year businesses write-off six percent of revenue to waste, fraud and abuse.  But why would you throw all that hard-earned money away when there is a reliable way to eliminate the waste using accounting policies & procedures. Find out how with internal control.

Reader Feedback

“Process mapping, process variability and the various process diagnostic tools [from the course How to Create Well-Defined Processes] were all excellent lessons to learn. The detail that they gave me in these areas was exactly what I was hoping for.”

– Otis Jones, PMO Manager Sara Lee Baking Group

On that note

Well, as you can see I’m already learning a great deal in my first few weeks here at Bizmanualz, and I’m getting geared up with a lot to talk about. In December I plan to provide some insight into ISO compliance and registration that will help you and your business. You can’t think of a better way to ring in the New Year, can you! And, remember, I’d also love to hear from you. So please email me at sean@bizmanualz.com with any comments, questions, stories, or to just say hello with a new quotable quote.
